KVZ and Chuoni have qualified to play in Zanzibar FA Cup quarter finals stage after winning their top 16 matches in the different venues here on Tuesday.
KVZ had an easy ride to the quarters after punishing Nyota Nyeupe with 7-1 blitz at Mao Tse Dong stadium on Tuesday.
During the match KVZ striker, Maabad Maulid netted a quadruple while other goals came from Mohammed Masoud Dola, Said Salum Said and Omar Juma, who each scored one goal.
Nyota Nyeupe, who eliminated Bweleo 4-2 in their Best 16 match, scored their consolation goal through Mbaraka Abdul wakil.
But the race to the quarters was tough for Chuoni Boys who face Jang’ombe Boys, one of the Zanzibar Premier League giants.
Playing a beautiful soccer, Chuoni fought brilliant to stamp a slim 2-1 victory over giants Jang’ombe Boys in a closely fought encounter at Amaan Stadium.
In another match played here Maungani beat Negro 3 -2 in a friendly match held at Maungani grounds. By winning the game, Maungani have stamped a fourth-match unbeaten run this season.
Maungani scored their goals through Ahmad Khamis, Emmanuel Miko and Hailun Karim while Juma Mussa scored both goals for Negro United.
