AfricaPress-Tanzania: SOCCER legend Diego Maradona has undergone successful surgery to remove a blood clot from his brain.
Dr. Luque at Olivos Clinic in La Plata, Argentina confirmed his wellbeing, saying that Maradona coped well with the surgery though he is still under observation.
The Argentina Legend was transferred to the Olivos Clinic in La Plata, where he was operated on at 20:00 local time (23:00 GMT) by Dr Luque, who is a neurosurgeon.
The procedure took about 80 minutes.
