SHIME CALLS 46 TO PREPARE FOR THE WORLD CUP

AfricaPress-Tanzania: The head coach of the Women’s National Team, Bakari Shime has called up 46 players to prepare for the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) and World Cup qualifiers.

Speaking to this newspaper Shime said the players for two weeks because most have training due to being in the ongoing Women’s Premier League I.

“The squad will enter the camp on March 10 to 22 to prepare for the World Cup and Afcon qualifiers,” said Shime.

Named from JKT Queens are Najat Abbas, Stumai Abdallah, Donisia Minja, Fumukazi Ally and Mwamvua Seif.

The Lions are Janeth Shija, Zubeda Mgunda, Julietha Singano, Oppa Clement, Mwanahamis Omari, Fatuma Issa, Vaileth Nicholaus, Kadosho Shekigenda, Koku Kipanga and Dotto Tossy.

Those from Yanga Princess include Happy Hezron, Anastanzia Katunzi, Amina Ally, Emiliana Mdimu, Irene Kisisa, Aisha Masaka, Husna Mtunda, Noela Luhala, Neema Charles and Clara Luvanga.

From Ruvuma Queens there are Diana Lucas, Ester Mabanza, Enekia Kasonga, Protasia Mbunda, Eva Wailes, Cresta John and Djohari Hamis and Mlandizi Queens there are Janeth Christopher, Flora Novatus, Shehati Mohamed, Rehema Mohamed and Zainab Ally.

Tanzanite is Joyce Lema, Neema Majimoto and Sabituna Salim and Hasnat Linus. Others are Diana William and Jamila Mnunduma from Baobab Queens, Hadija Petro (TSC Queens), Aisha Juma from Alliance Girls and Zawadi Hamis from Amani.
