AfricaPress-Tanzania: SIMBA Sports Club Board of Directors has appointed Barbara Gonzalez as the club’s new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to fill the vacuum that was left by Senzo Mbatha.
Mbatha ditched Simba SC for their archrivals Yanga and he is set to play pivotal role in the club’s transformation plans.
The newly appointed CEO was among Simba’s members of Board of Directors.
According to the LinkedIn, an American business and employment-oriented online service platform, Barbara joined the Mo Dewji Foundation, a registered charity dedicated to alleviating Tanzanian citizens from poverty and hardship through health, education and community development.
“She has been responsible for setting the strategic direction of the Foundation,” it is written in the platform.
Her role at the foundation were to set the strategic direction including but not limited to policy, define goals, set targets; and evaluate the performance against agreed targets.
