Africa-Press – Uganda. Speaker of Parliament Anita Among has extended her congratulations to President Museveni on his decision to continue leading the country and the National Resistance Movement (NRM) as its chairman.
The congratulations come after numerous party members petitioned Museveni to seek another term in office.
Among expressed confidence that under Museveni’s proven leadership, the country will achieve even greater heights in the upcoming term.
“I would like to congratulate the leader of the revolution, HE Gen. @KagutaMuseveni, for responding to the many petitions from party members asking him to continue leading the country and @NRMOnline as its chairman,” Among said.
“We are confident that under his proven leadership, the country will achieve even greater heights in the upcoming term.”
Among’s congratulatory message was accompanied by a nod to Museveni’s leadership legacy, with the Speaker acknowledging the president’s contributions to the country’s development.
“Congratulations, Ssabalwanyi! Tubonga nawe,” Among said, using a term of respect and admiration.
The Speaker’s statement reflects the support Museveni enjoys from key figures within the NRM and the Ugandan Parliament.
