Nextars on the Move Igniting Purpose and Power in Uganda’S Youth

Africa-Press – Uganda. The Nextars Movement is lighting up schools across Uganda. Last week, the nationwide youth empowerment initiative made powerful stops at Seeta High School Mukono, Mr. and Miss Teen Kigezi, and Mulago Secondary School, leaving young people inspired, activated, and ready to lead.
So, what exactly is Nextars?

Rooted in the values of “Be Good. Do Good. Be Unstoppable,” the Nextars Movement is about growing Uganda’s next generation of changemakers aged 15–25. Through Nextars Clubs in secondary schools and universities, young people are equipped with digital skills, leadership experience, and purpose-driven opportunities to spark change in their communities.

As Nextars Brand Manager Martha Ayedo puts it, “NBS Plus, in partnership with MTN Uganda, is ushering in the next generation of youth with Nextars.”

Every club builds its energy around three pillars: Growth (skills & careers), Impact (community action), and Community (belonging and collaboration). From hosting school-based projects to driving social impact campaigns, Nextars is shaping the kind of leaders Uganda needs—grounded in values and bold in action.
