Africa-Press – Uganda. MultiChoice Uganda has reaffirmed its commitment to sports entertainment by announcing full live coverage of the 2024 Championship of African Nations (CHAN) that kicked off yesterday, August, 2.
All 32 tournament matches will be broadcast live on SuperSport via DStv and GOtv platforms.
The action begun with the opening match in Dar es Salaam where co-hosts Tanzania take on Burkina Faso at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium.
Tanzania beat Burkina Faso 2-0.
The matches will be available across a wide range of packages—from DStv Access to Premium and on GOtv from GOtv Plus to Supa Plus.
Uganda Cranes in the Spotlight
All eyes will be on the Uganda Cranes as they make their CHAN debut as hosts. Their campaign kicks off on Monday, 4 August at the iconic Mandela National Stadium, Namboole, with a high-stakes Group C clash against two-time AFCON champions Algeria. The match will air live at 8:00 PM.
The tournament culminates in the grand final at Nairobi’s Moi International Sports Centre on 30 August, with the third-place playoff set to take place in Kampala a day earlier, on 29 August.
Speaking on the significance of the event, Rinaldi Jamugisa, PR and Communications Manager at MultiChoice Uganda, described CHAN 2024 as a “monumental occasion” for the country.
