Africa-Press – Uganda. Kabojja Warriors clinched the ISA League regular season title on the final day without stepping onto the pitch after Wolis Saints failed to field a full team, handing the champions a walkover victory.
The result ended Vienna Titans’ hopes of overtaking the Warriors, but the Titans wrapped up their campaign with a 1-0 win over Wolis Saints to secure second place in the standings. Trevor Zziwa scored the decisive goal late in the match, finishing from close range after a pass from Ryan Tany.
The clean sheet also earned Titans goalkeeper Ronnie Kasujja the Golden Glove award, having recorded six shutouts in 11 matches this season.
Vienna concluded their regular season with a 1-1 draw against Taibah Spartans. Denis Sempebwa gave them the lead from an Emma Lukoma assist, but an own goal shortly after denied them victory.
Attention now shifts to the ISA League Cup, with the top five teams, including Vienna, advancing directly to the knockout stage. The Titans will look to maintain their strong form and challenge the Warriors for the cup title.
