Africa-Press – Uganda. Kabojja Warriors clinched the ISA League regular season championship on the final day without playing, after Wolis Saints failed to field a full team, awarding the Warriors a walkover victory.
This result ended Vienna Titans’ hopes of overtaking the Warriors. However, the Titans closed their campaign with a 1-0 win over Wolis Saints, securing second place in the standings.
Trevor Zziwa scored the decisive goal late in the match, finishing from close range following a pass from Ryan Tany.
The clean sheet also earned Titans goalkeeper Ronnie Kasujja the Golden Glove award, having kept six shutouts in 11 matches this season.
Vienna ended their regular season with a 1-1 draw against Taibah Spartans. Denis Sempebwa opened the scoring off an assist from Emma Lukoma, but an own goal shortly after denied the Titans victory.
With the regular season concluded, focus now shifts to the ISA League Cup. The top five teams, including Vienna, have advanced directly to the knockout stage.
The Titans will aim to maintain their strong form and challenge Kabojja Warriors for the cup title.
