Africa-Press – Uganda. The Ignite Lead Summit 2025 took place on 22nd October 2025 at Four Points by Sheraton, Kampala, bringing together professionals from the private, public, NGO, and financial sectors. The summit gathered some of the country’s most inspiring leaders to share ideas, experiences, and practical lessons on leadership and personal growth.

The event, organised by MP3 Talent Solutions under the leadership of Ms. Monica Sanyu, aimed to build leaders who understand that growth begins with people. Speaking about the motivation behind the summit, Ms. Sanyu explained that Ignite Lead was created to help professionals learn from relatable experiences and apply leadership lessons that fit Uganda’s workplace realities.

The half-day event attracted a full house, filled with men and women eager to learn, connect, and reflect on what effective leadership looks like today.

The summit was supported by NBS Television, AfroMobile, and other partners, including the Institute of Corporate Governance of Uganda (ICGU) and NSSF. AfroMobile streamed the event live, allowing people across the country to follow the discussions and learn from the experts in real time.

One of the key highlights was the engaging lineup of speakers who each brought a unique perspective.

Mr. Geoffrey Kihuguru, CEO of Pentad Insurance Brokers and President of ICGU, gave the keynote address. He shared insights on corporate governance and reminded participants that leadership thrives where integrity and accountability are upheld.

Mr. Milton Steven Owor, Chief People and Culture Officer at NSSF, focused on organisational transformation and the role of middle managers. He encouraged leaders to empower their teams and embrace emotional intelligence as a key part of leadership success.

Ms. Annet Nakawunde, Managing Director of Finance Trust Bank, inspired the audience with her reflections on women in leadership and inclusive growth. Her session reminded attendees that leadership should always open doors for others.

Other notable speakers included Mr. Francis Ogwang, Country Manager at the East African Development Bank, and Mr. Ronald Gyagenda Ssegawa, who both spoke about resilience, adaptability, and the importance of forward-thinking leadership in driving sustainable growth.

Throughout the day, participants exchanged experiences, built new professional connections, and gained practical tools to apply in their workplaces. The interactive sessions encouraged honest reflection, with many attendees noting that leadership is less about authority and more about influence, teamwork, and empathy.

Looking ahead, the Ignite Lead Summit aims to keep the conversation going through follow-up programmes, mentorship, and leadership learning platforms. The goal is to ensure that the lessons shared continue to shape leaders who drive impact in their organisations and communities.

The Ignite Lead Summit 2025 has positioned itself as one of Uganda’s most promising leadership gatherings, creating a space for continuous learning, collaboration, and growth.
