Africa-Press – Uganda. In partnership with the Rotary Club of Mengo, the Rotary Club of Kigo Seven Lakes Golf proudly launched the Rotary Club of Medical Pioneers Mengo (In Formation) on Thursday, October 30th, 2025, at the Mengo Hospital Eye Complex Rooftop.
The ceremony was graced by District Governor Elect (DGE) Daniel Ddamulira as Chief Guest, who commended the two clubs for their collaborative leadership in expanding Rotary’s footprint within Uganda’s medical community.
The launch marks a major milestone in Rotary’s mission to inspire professional excellence and community service, particularly among healthcare practitioners.
The Rotary Club of Medical Pioneers Mengo (In Formation) brings together doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals committed to advancing healthcare access, preventive medicine, and humanitarian service under the Rotary motto “Service Above Self.”
In his remarks, DGE Ddamulira praised the initiative as a model of purposeful partnership and visionary leadership. He emphasised that Rotary’s engagement of medical professionals is vital for sustainable impact, especially in areas of disease prevention, community health outreach, and youth mentorship in the medical field.
The Rotary Club of Kigo Seven Lakes Golf and the Rotary Club of Mengo were recognised for their mentorship and commitment to nurturing the new club, ensuring it embodies Rotary’s core values of fellowship, integrity, diversity, and service.
As the Medical Pioneers Mengo Rotary Club (In Formation) begins its journey, it joins a vibrant community of #PeopleOfAction driving chang.
