Africa-Press – Uganda. Engineering company, RAK Engineering Limited has opened a new state of the art home in Kawempe as it celebrates 14 years of dedicated service.
Speaking during the function on Saturday, Rogers Kamuhanda, the Managing Director, RAK Engineering Ltd said having started out in 2010, the company grown to become one of Uganda’s most trusted providers of engineering solutions, delivering transformative projects that contribute to the nation’s development.
“We have continued to provide cutting-edge solutions in telecommunications engineering, powerline construction, road and building infrastructure, and project management. To this, we employ over 100 staff but with the opening of the new home, we hope to have this number increase as we create more employment opportunities for Ugandans,” Kamuhanda said.
“We hope to start many new subsidiaries of RAK Engineering that will create more employment opportunities. We are committed to providing employment to the people of Uganda.”
He said the company aspires to grow its operations within the country and the region at large and said this means creation of more employment opportunities especially for Ugandans.
“There are so many opportunities for Ugandans, not only at RAK Engineering but elsewhere but they are only available to those who have prepared themselves by equipping themselves with skills.”
To this, he said the company offers trainings for its staff to ensure they are up to the required skills in the job market.
Dedicated service
According to Kamuhanda, the company has in the past 14 years delivered numerous high-impact projects including infrastructure support for telecommunications expansion with MTN Uganda, key construction collaborations with Roko Construction, telecommunications engineering solutions for ZTE, and network and infrastructure enhancement for Uganda Broadcasting Corporation (UBC).
“We have also partnered with Mota-Engil to execute large-scale infrastructure projects and supported the National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) in water and sewerage system development. These partnerships demonstrate RAK Engineering’s ability to meet the demands of high-profile clients while maintaining excellence in service delivery.”
According to Kamuhanda, with the opening of new premises, the company hopes to contribute more to the engineering profession in the country.
Speaking during the function, Eng. Gerald Isabirye hailed fellow engineer, Rogers Kamuhanda for the dedication and being able to build the company from scratch to one of the leading in the country.
“I am happy this company has grown from scratch not to be only about business but also helping to grow the engineering profession in the country,” Isabirye said.
