Africa-Press – Uganda. Agricultural extension workers have expressed concerns about underfunding and understaffing across the country, which is impeding extension services to farmers. They claim that some of them have gone unpaid for months without proper explanations from district Chief Administrative Officers. They were at the Ministry of Agriculture in Entebbe for an assessment meeting that focused on the ministry’s performance in transforming Uganda’s agriculture from subsistence farming to commercial agriculture.
