Africa-Press – Uganda. Baganda students (Bannankobazambogo) from Mityana Agrovet Institute on Friday paid a courtesy visit to the Buganda Kingdom headquarters at Bulange, Mengo.
The visit aimed at strengthening their involvement in Kingdom programs, renewing their association’s documentation, and gaining deeper insights into effective leadership and organizational management.
The delegation was received by Hassan Kiyemba the Principal Youth Officer on behalf of the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Arts.
During the meeting, he engaged the students on a wide range of issues related to youth empowerment, leadership, and participation in Kingdom initiatives.
Kiyemba commended the group for taking the initiative to visit the Kingdom headquarters, describing it as a positive sign of commitment to learning and cultural awareness.
“This is a strong indication of your desire to grow in knowledge and better understand your heritage,” he said.
Kiyemba encouraged the youth to approach their responsibilities with professionalism and dedication, emphasizing the importance of maintaining high standards in their work and conduct.
Furthermore, he urged the students to strengthen unity among themselves and build meaningful networks, especially with peers from other institutions.
“The relationships you build today can shape your future. Strong networks often lead to impactful opportunities in life,” he said.
The Chairperson of Bannankobazambogo at Mityana Agrovet Institute, Harriet Nansubuga, expressed gratitude for the warm reception accorded to them at Bulange. She encouraged fellow youth to actively participate in Buganda Kingdom programs and initiatives.
Nansubuga also called upon members to turn up in large numbers for the upcoming Kabaka Birthday Run scheduled for April 12, 2026, highlighting it as an important event that unites the Kingdom’s youth in support of meaningful causes.
