Africa-Press – Uganda. Bul has enjoyed a stellar start to the StarTimes Uganda Premier League this season, raking up maximum points from their first four games to top the table.

The side, now under coach Abbey Kikomeko, gave a glimpse of their intentions for this season by seeing off Villa, Vipers and URA to win the Fufa Super Eight preseason tournament.

Since then, Bul has grown from strength to strength scoring seven goals with five of them coming in their last two matches.

They travel to Wankukulukuku Tuesday to face an SC Villa team that has managed to collect only five points, trailing the table leaders by seven.

The 26 matches that have been between these two sides have always been electric but very close. The last four meetings have been won by a 1-0 margin with Bul winning three of them.

Bul’s assistant coach James Magala expects a similar approach from the Jogoos but believes their current form and a few patch-ups will give them their fifth win.

“Villa is a good side that is always tough to play but we’ve been working hard on creating and converting our chances because we expect them to come defending,” Magala said ahead of the game.

Villa has won only one game against Nec but has been a tough nut to crack. They left Kitende crestfallen last Friday after a defensive hiccup cost them a late equalizer against Vipers.

Their coach Dusan Stojanovic admitted the shortcomings but has urged the team to dust their feathers off and build from that and score goals.

“We gave our all [against Vipers] and a single point was not sufficient enough [for our efforts], but we’ll use it as a foundation to improve in our upcoming game. Before each game, our ambition is to secure a win, and I consistently emphasize to the team the importance of focusing on scoring goals,” he told club media.

The two giants have met 26 times in official matches, Bul winning nine, Villa eight while nine ended in draws.

Elsewhere, in Jinja, Gaddafi and Busoga United will face off at the Gaddafi Arena in the first Jinja derby of the season. Both teams are struggling after winning only one game after four outings.
