Africa-Press – Uganda. Kampala supermarket chain, China Town, has opened a new store at Freedom City along the Entebbe Highway.
Speaking during the grand opening, officials said the new store spans 10000 square feet and offers a wide range of unique products without creating any social class
“We are thrilled to bring China Town Freedom City Brunch to the Makindye community. Everyone from Katwe, Kibuye, Makindye, Namasuba, Najjanakumbi, Zana and all the surrounding areas can fully have access to this brunch said Agnes Maggimbi, the Marketing and Public Relations manager for China Town International.
“Our goal is to provide the community with affordable prices, high-quality products, and excellent service — all under one roof.”
Officials also spoke about providing market for locally produced goods, noting that many of the products sold at the store are locally manufactured.
To mark the occasion, the first customers that shopped for items above 200, 000 entered a draw where they won several items including TVs, microwaves and a motorbike.
The launch also included live performances from musician, Khalifa Aganaga.
