BUNDIBUGYO- The Uganda Red Cross has dispatched a team to support emergency evacuations.
This is after River Humya had an overflow due to a huge mass of mud that has blocked the waterway, causing a backflow and outburst into people’s homes. A number of families in Bundibugyo have been affected.
Early this month twelve people were killed by floods in the district located in western Uganda, as the country was battered by torrential rain.
Several houses were swept away, roads blocked and some washed away completely
