This achievement underscores the Bank’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding customer information, meeting national regulatory requirements, and upholding the highest standards of information security across its operations.
ISO/IEC 27001:2022 is the globally recognized benchmark for managing information security risks. Attaining this certification affirms that FTB has implemented a robust, structured, and proactive security framework designed to protect sensitive customer and operational data.

The certification covers all services, processes, personnel, information, and systems involved in delivering banking services—including Data Centre Operations and all digital processing platforms handling critical customer information. This ensures that customer data remains protected at every digital touchpoint.
Achieving this milestone followed a rigorous review and alignment of internal information security policies and processes with the ISO/IEC 27001:2022 standard.
Despite tight timelines and the need to balance day-to-day operations, FTB’s staff and management demonstrated exceptional teamwork and resilience, enabling the Bank to secure this highly regarded industry certification.
Customers will now benefit from enhanced data protection, improved service continuity, reduced risk of service disruptions, and greater assurance that their information is handled securely and in compliance with regulatory standards. Ultimately, the certification strengthens customer confidence in Finance Trust Bank’s digital and traditional banking solutions.
Commenting on the achievement, Ms. Anne Nakawunde, Managing Director of Finance Trust Bank, said:

FTB has also invested in fostering a strong internal security culture by training Information Security Management System (ISMS) Champions across all branches and departments. These champions play a critical role in maintaining the Bank’s security posture and ensuring continuous compliance.
The certification was awarded on 24th October 2025 and remains valid until 23rd October 2028, subject to annual surveillance audits.
