Africa-Press – Uganda. As schools plan to open officially for the first term of ghe 2025 national curriculum academic year in Uganda,Fresh Dairy has announced a countrywide discount on its Fresh Dairy flavoured milk this back-to-school season.
While announcing the discount offer, Joseph Awino – General Manager Sales at Fresh Dairy said the promotion is aimed at giving learners an opportunity to take advantage of discounted products.
“In a bid to give learners more access to milk, we are offering a countrywide discount on all Fresh Dairy’s flavoured milk this back-to-school season between January, 17 and February, 28 2025, at a store nearest to you. We believe in using our dairy products to better the health and nutrition of school-going children, as they thrive to study and learn,”Awino said.
“Fresh Dairy’s flavoured milk is renowned for its sleek and easy to hold trendy slim packs, being an on-the-go ready to drink snack, offering great refreshment anytime and most especially as a school-time healthy snack,” added Awino.
The International Dairy Federation (IDF), 2020 Publication suggests various benefits of adding milk to school programs including improved nutrient intake, better bone health, enhanced cognitive development, improved academic performance, reduced risk of chronic diseases, promotion of healthy eating habits and reduced tooth decay among others.
More studies show that good nutrition is the foundation of health and wellness for children, and milk is a crucial part of a healthy diet.
Dairy products play a critical role in the diet of children, topping as a great source of calcium, phosphorous, potassium and Vitamin D.
Nakazi Mariam, a mother of three school-going pupils said she prefers to pack Fresh Dairy’s flavoured milk because it ensures that her children have a healthy on-the-go healthy snack each day while at school.
Awino noted that Fresh Dairy’s flavoured milk comes in three (3) flavours – Vanilla, Strawberry and chocolate; offers 2 carton options – 24 and 12 pack cartons and 2 pack sizes – 500ml and 250ml.
