Africa-Press – Uganda. Preparations are ongoing in Iganga district ahead of the official launch of campaigns for Rt. Hon. Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga, who is seeking re-election as the National Vice Chairperson (Female) of the National Resistance Movement (NRM).
Local mobilisers and party leaders have been seen coordinating logistics, mobilising supporters, and setting up venues in anticipation of a high-energy campaign launch aimed at consolidating Kadaga’s support base in Busoga and across the country.
Kadaga, who has served in the NRM leadership and Parliament for decades, is expected to highlight her record of service, commitment to women’s empowerment, and loyalty to the party as key pillars of her campaign.
The Iganga event is expected to draw party members from various districts, especially from the Eastern region, where Kadaga enjoys significant political influence.
NRM electoral commission timelines indicate that the party is now entering the official campaign phase for all contested positions, ahead of internal elections.
