Kigezi PLU Boss Nominated for Kabale LC5 Seat as an Independent

Africa-Press – Uganda. Kigezi Patriotic League of Uganda Chairperson Nelson Nshangabasheija has been nominated for Kabale district LC5 seat race.

Nshangasheija who is the incumbent LC5 chairperson lost the LC5 National Resistance Movement flag to former Kyankwanzi deputy Resident district commissioner Denis Ndyomugyenyi Nzierwe in recently concluded NRM elections but has decided to run as an independent candidate under the symbol of a chair.

Nshangabasheija said the NRM electoral process was marred by voter malpractice prompted his supporter to ask him run as independent candidate which he abide to.

“My main focus will be on infrastructure development, health and will also tackle the issue of network that has been affecting boarder sub counties of Kabale like Butanda, Kahungye, Katuna among others.”Nshangabasheija noted.

Nelson Nshagabasheija is the first one to be nominated among the eight candidates that picked nomination forms.

He was nominated by the Kabale district returning officer Aisha Nansubuga.Others that picked nomination forms are, Denis Ndyomugyenyi Nzeirwe, Ndarihuse Siliven, Paul Rubarema, Steven Rupiha Habimana, Gerald Agaba, Emanuel Arineitwe and Owomugisha Donozio Banga.
