Africa-Press – Uganda. MTN Uganda has launched MTN Ads, a digital advertising platform that enables businesses of all sizes to reach and engage their audiences more efficiently through data-driven campaigns.

The platform, which has been in testing for a year, is now fully rolled out, granting advertisers access to more than 22 million MTN subscribers nationwide.

“With MTN Ads, we are ushering in a new era of digital advertising in Uganda,” said Susan Kayemba, Senior Manager for Digital Services at MTN Uganda, during the launch event at the Annual Marketers Fireplace held at Hotel Africana in Kampala.

“Businesses now have a direct and powerful channel to engage their customers in ways that are personal, measurable, and effective. With over 22 million customers on our network, MTN Ads is the bridge between a brand’s message and the right audience.”

The platform leverages demographic, behavioral, and location-based insights to ensure campaigns reach the right customers.

Businesses can tailor advertisements for specific audiences — for example, restaurants can promote offers to nearby users, retail brands can target fashion-conscious consumers, and financial institutions can reach clients based on spending habits or device usage.

MTN Ads was praised by marketers, media buyers, and entrepreneurs who attended the launch for its simplicity, affordability, and ability to deliver measurable results.

Beyond advertising, the platform offers added benefits including a free business directory listing, a zero-rated branded page on the MTN website, guaranteed audience reach depending on the selected package, and transparent real-time analytics that track campaign performance.

According to MTN Uganda, the service empowers businesses to make data-driven marketing decisions, optimize their messages, and maximize returns on investment. It also aligns with the company’s Ambition 2025 strategy, which focuses on building inclusive digital platforms that drive Uganda’s economic growth.

For customers, the platform promises a more personalized mobile experience by ensuring that the offers and promotions they receive are relevant, timely, and non-intrusive.

“By advertising with MTN, businesses are not just reaching customers,” Kayemba added.

“They are creating value, building relationships, and becoming part of everyday life.”

MTN Uganda is now inviting businesses — from local startups to multinational brands — to explore the MTN Ads platform and leverage its tools to advertise effectively, engage meaningfully, and grow sustainably in Uganda’s digital marketplace.
