Africa-Press – Uganda. The State Minister in the Office of the Vice President, Diana Mutasingwa, has commended the ongoing construction of Buikwe District’s new headquarters building, calling the progress in Phase III “encouraging” and a step forward for effective local governance.
Situated in Misindye, Buikwe Town Council, the new administrative block is expected to significantly enhance service delivery in the district.
During an inspection visit, Mutasingwa applauded the district leadership, technical teams, and development partners for their commitment and quality of work.
“This development is key to improving service delivery and building a more responsive and efficient district administration,” she said.
She encouraged those involved to stay focused and complete the project on schedule.
“Let’s keep the momentum going!” she added, stressing the government’s resolve to support infrastructure growth across the country.
The project, now in its third phase, is seen as a critical investment in the district’s administrative capacity.
Once completed, it will house key departments and streamline operations, which officials believe will improve service access for residents.
Mutasingwa’s visit reaffirmed government backing for the initiative and boosted optimism among stakeholders who anticipate the headquarters will be completed without delays.
