Africa-Press – Uganda. The National Unity Platform (NUP) has invited its members interested in contesting for elective positions in the upcoming 2026 general elections to submit their credentials between June 1 and June 23, 2025.
According to Ms. Harriet Chemutai , the Chairperson of NUP’s Election Management Committee, the party is receiving expressions of interest for all elective positions.
Submissions will be accepted at the party’s headquarters in Makerere Kavule and at designated sub-regional offices across the country.
The offices will be open for submissions on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Applicants are required to deliver their documents in person or send them electronically via the official party email.
“All interested members must present a copy of their NUP membership card, a valid National Identification Card, an updated Curriculum Vitae, and certified copies of academic qualifications,” Chemutai stated.
The process is part of the party’s preparations for the 2026 general elections and aims to ensure early identification and vetting of capable candidates under the party’s banner.
