Pentagon in every Region- Bugingo Reveals Ambitious Dream

Africa-Press – Uganda. House of Prayer Ministries’ lead pastor, Aloysius Bugingo, has expressed his desire to build a number of churches (Pentagons) across the country.

In a recent interview, Bugingo shared that he has been overwhelmed by the turnout at various congregations he has organized throughout the country, thus the need for more and bigger churches in those areas.

The pastor has been in the spotlight lately due to his ambitious multi-billion mega church project in Makerere, Kikoni, known as “Pentagon,” which has yet to commence due to funding issues.

Bugingo mentioned that once the Pentagon project in Kampala is finished, he would wish to set up similar churches in other regions of the country to better serve his followers.

“You saw our congregation in Mbale; the venue was too small for everyone. Doesn’t Mbale need a Pentagon? And in Busoga, our gathering was immense—doesn’t that area deserve a Pentagon? Even in Fort Portal, where it rained continuously, the stadium was packed. Just imagine how many more people would have come if it hadn’t rained. Doesn’t Fort Portal need a Pentagon?” Bugingo remarked.

“God should help us finish the first Pentagon. We need more of them across the country,” he added.

Recently, Bugingo faced criticism regarding the delays in constructing the 35,000-seat church complex known as the “Pentagon.”

Days ago, he revealed that despite various fundraising efforts, only Shs3 billion had been raised, which he deemed insufficient to even begin laying the church’s foundation.

“It’s very challenging to start the foundation with less than a tenth of the required funds. All the contractors involved need a 30% deposit, which amounts to Shs30 billion. The money we have gathered is not even Shs7 billion, which is not enough to procure materials to start the foundation,” Pastor Bugingo explained.

He has since encouraged his flock to continue contributing resources to help kickstart the project.
