Africa-Press – Uganda. Premier Distilleries Limited (PDL) has continued to reward loyal customers under its Bikole Masavu campaign, with winners in the Eastern Region walking away with prizes ranging from tuk tuks to motorcycles, smartphones, and cash.
In Mbale District, Joy Namahonje of Mabanga Village received a tuk tuk, which she said would support her family by easing transport of farm produce to market.
“At first, I thought it was a scam, but when the tuk tuk was delivered, I believed. This campaign is real and life-changing,” she said.
In Busia, builder Mwite Jalalu Dweru was handed a brand-new motorcycle. He said the prize will help him reach construction sites more easily and also provide extra income when he operates as a boda boda rider.
Other winners included Steven Bwire from Busia, who won a smartphone, and Andrew Hamli from Mbale, who received shs250,000.
Speaking at the handover in Mbale City, regional distributor Venkata Ramireddy said the campaign is a way of giving back to customers who have supported PDL brands for over 20 years.
“The people of Eastern Uganda have been loyal customers, and Bikole Masavu is our way of saying thank you,” he noted, while encouraging responsible consumption.
The campaign, part of PDL’s 25th anniversary celebrations, allows consumers to win instant and weekly prizes by purchasing Simba Gin or Coffee-Flavoured Vodka and submitting codes found under the cap. The grand prize stands at shs50 million.
