Africa-Press – Uganda. Stanbic Bank Uganda has reported a half-year profit of Shs278 billion, while contributing Shs273 billion in taxes, marking one of the most impressive financial performances in the country’s banking sector this year.

Addressing stakeholders, media, and industry leaders at a conference, CEO Kenneth Mumba Kalifungwa highlighted the resilience and strategic depth of the bank’s operations.

“Our half-year results reflect the strength of our diversified business model and the trust our clients place in us. We remain committed to driving inclusive growth and delivering value to all stakeholders,” Kalifungwa said.

The announcement was made during the bank’s financial year performance conference held at Crested Towers in Kampala on 18th August 2025.

The bank’s strong performance is attributed to its diversified business model, which targets multiple sectors, including agriculture, small and medium enterprises, savings and cooperative organizations, and interest from loans.

With these results, Stanbic Uganda Holdings is well-positioned to maintain its leadership in the financial services sector and continue contributing meaningfully to Uganda’s economic growth.
