Africa-Press – Uganda. Next Media Group Chief Executive Officer Kin Kariisa has commended Team Uganda for their outstanding performance at the recently concluded All Africa Junior Golf Tournament held in Tunisia.
In a tweet, Kariisa hailed the young golfers for their remarkable achievement, finishing fifth overall and surpassing traditionally strong competitors such as Egypt and regional rivals Kenya.
“Finishing 5th and overcoming golf giants like Egypt and our neighbors Kenya is an impressive achievement! Your hard work and dedication have truly paid off. Well done, Team Uganda,” Kariisa said.
The tournament, which brought together the continent’s best junior golfers, is a critical platform for nurturing future golf stars.
Uganda’s performance marks a significant milestone in the country’s growing reputation in the sport.
The success comes amid increasing investment in junior golf development programs in Uganda, with sports leaders and institutions calling for more support to build on the momentum.
