The number of people who had succumbed to COVID-19 by Christmas this year, grown to 245 people, according to the ministry of health reports.

This is an increase from 238 cases, five days back. By December 20, there were 238 reported deaths. 33,563 people have also been confirmed to have contracted COVID-19, by December 25 this year. But health experts say, several people might be infected but haven’t taken tests; especially those who are asymptomatic.The good news is that the number of recoveries has kept going up, with 150 more patients to have been recorded to have recovered bring the cumulative total to 11,055 recoveries in the country. There are over 1.7 million COVID-19 deaths out of the 78,376,844 infected cases all over the world; according to the Worldometer. The world is currently faced with a pandemic of Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19), a new virus that spreads so fast through droplet infection especially in crowded places and causes illness. It is spread from person to person through sneezing or coughing (droplet infection), human to human contact and contact with contaminated surfaces.Signs and symptoms of COVID-19 include Fever, Running Nose (flu), Cough, General Weakness, difficulty in breathing if the patient develops pneumoniaThe health ministry and the government’s reminder to the public has always been to adherence to the guidelines which include wearing masks, keeping social distance, and washing hands with either soap or disinfectants.
