Africa-Press – Uganda. The International Peace Support Operations Training Centre (IPSO-TC) International Peace Support Operations Training Centre on Saturday received a distinguished delegation from the United States Army War College US Army War College as part of an official study tour aimed at enhancing professional exchange and deepening collaboration in peace support operations.
The visit, held at the IPSO-TC campus in Singo, reflects ongoing efforts to strengthen international cooperation in military training, peacekeeping preparedness, and operational learning between partner institutions.
Welcoming the delegation, IPSO-TC Commandant Colonel Moses Nabaasa underscored the centre’s commitment to excellence in preparing personnel for complex peace support missions across diverse operational environments.
“The Centre is committed to excellence, regional stability, and international collaboration,” he said.
During the engagement, Chief Instructor Colonel David Wataasa delivered a comprehensive briefing outlining the centre’s training programmes, with particular emphasis on operational lessons learned from peace support missions in Somalia. He highlighted IPSO-TC’s evolving role in equipping personnel with the skills required for modern peacekeeping challenges.
Leading the visiting delegation, Colonel Ronald Miller of the US Army War College expressed appreciation for the warm reception and the depth of expertise shared during the visit.
“We commend IPSO-TC for its professionalism and significant contribution to global peacekeeping efforts,” he said.
As part of the visit, Colonel Nabaasa presented a commemorative gift to Colonel Miller in recognition of the growing partnership and mutual commitment to advancing peace support operations training.
