The Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovations, in partnership with the Tropical Institute of Development Innovations have received automated reeling machines, to scale up commercial silk production. The machines, valued at over One Million US Dollars, are meant to increase Uganda’s export earnings from silk yarn.
