Africa-Press – Uganda. Minister for Local Government Raphael Magyezi met with U.S. Ambassador William Popp and outgoing USAID/Uganda Director Daniele Nyirandutiye to reflect on shared progress and future cooperation.
The meeting highlighted the successes of the USAID-funded NUDEIL program, which has empowered local governance, infrastructure, and livelihoods in Northern Uganda.
“We reviewed successes of the USAID-funded NUDEIL program, a testament to what partnership can achieve in empowering local governance, infrastructure, and livelihoods in Northern Uganda,” Minister Magyezi said. He reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to bridging development partners and communities.
Ambassador Popp assured the Ministry of continued U.S. support, focusing on resilience, vulnerable groups, and private investment opportunities. “We are committed to supporting Uganda in its development journey,” Ambassador Popp emphasised.
The meeting demonstrated the strong partnership between Uganda and the United States in promoting development and improving livelihoods.
