Africa-Press – Uganda. The Uganda Tourism Board (UTB) and Emirates Airlines have renewed their Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen cooperation aimed at increasing tourism and investment in Uganda.

The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2025 in Dubai, with UTB represented by Acting CEO Bradford Ochieng and Emirates Airlines by Senior Vice President Adil Al-Ghaith.

Under the renewed MoU, the two parties committed to a strategic partnership focused on joint marketing initiatives, increased promotion of Uganda as a tourist destination, and efforts to attract foreign direct investment (FDI) into the country’s tourism sector.

The partnership also emphasises resource sharing and coordinated campaigns to boost travel between Uganda and the Middle East.

Officials say the collaboration is expected to play a critical role in driving economic growth and expanding Uganda’s footprint in international tourism markets.
