Africa-Press – Uganda. Vienna Titans delivered one of the most thrilling performances of the ISA League season on Sunday evening, staging a dramatic 5–3 comeback victory over league leaders ISU Leopards just hours after suffering a narrow 0–1 defeat to Tank Hill Titans.
The match, described by fans and pundits as the game of the season so far, saw Vienna overcome early setbacks to secure a crucial three points and rekindle their title hopes.
Entering the second game of the day with their backs against the wall, the Titans faced immense pressure—both from a physically taxing earlier loss and from their formidable opponents, who have dominated the ISA League standings. But what followed was a spirited and clinical display of resilience.
“The entire ISA League fan base came to support us. Everyone knew we were in trouble, facing the best in the league. It was intense,” said one Vienna alumnus in the crowd.
ISU Leopards had earmarked the match as a statement fixture. So had Vienna. From the opening whistle, it was clear this was more than just another league game—it was a test of grit and heart.
Star forward Alvin Kagaba Kashilingi led the charge for Vienna, scoring a spectacular hat trick that turned the tide in his team’s favour. Ryan Tanny added to the tally before Mwine sealed the win with a composed finish late in the match.
“We know how great we are, but we’re also humble,” said one of the Titans’ co-captains post-match. “This was important. This was pivotal. And we showed up.”
The win dealt the Leopards their first major setback of the season and reaffirmed Vienna’s potential as serious contenders despite earlier inconsistencies.
Among the ecstatic fans was Vienna alumnus Alex Busingye, who said, “It was the best live game I’ve ever watched in my life.”
With the win, Vienna not only collected a vital three points but also sent a strong message to their ISA League rivals: the Titans may have faltered, but they are far from finished.
