96 JUNKIES ARRESTED IN LUSAKA

Africa-Press – Zambia. 96 suspected ‘junkies’ have been nabbed Lusaka’s Kamanga, Kaunda Square and Ng’ombe compounds. Police working in collaboration with the Crime Prevention Unit arrested the suspects who include nine females are aged between 13 and 30.

Zambia Police Deputy Police Public Relations Officer Danny Mwale tells Byta FM Zambia that the operation was conducted between March 14, 2023 around 17:00 hours and March 15, 2023 at 05:00 hours

“During the process, some of suspects were found with suspected drugs and the Drug Enforcement Commission has since been engaged,” reveals Mwale.

“Suspects are currently in detention charged with the offence of Idle and Disorderly.” Mwale has said the operations will continue in order to restore law and order in the communities.
