Africa-Press – Zambia. October has been a month of awareness against cancer, especially breast cancer. ZCS founder Udie Favour Soko has noted that people are exposed to risk factors for cancer every day hence the need to encourage an ongoing culture of prevention.
Ms Soko said activities such as exercise and aerobics that reduce the risk of cancer need to be enhanced beyond the month of October, if cancer cases are to reduce.
Ms Soko, who is a two-time breast cancer survivor is concerned that myths about the disease have continued and that the public must also take keen interest in reducing their cancer risk.
