Africa-Press – Zambia. Zambia Women’s national team made easy work of Morocco side, Phoenix Marrakech FC thrashing them 6-0 in an international friendly match. Head coach Bruce Mwape made seven changes to the team that drew 1-1 with Morocco keeping only Mary Wilombe, Martha Tembo, Agness Musesa and Misozi Zulu from the team that started against the Atlas Lionesses of Morocco.

Mary Wilombe was made captain for the day while Leticia Lungu started between the sticks with Ochumba Oseke Lubanji leading the attack after shaking off a small injury that kept her out of the draw against Morocco.

Zambia started the match strong with Avell Chitundu heading in the opener ten minutes into the match off a Wilombe free kick. Misozi Zulu made it 2-0 in the 24th minute with a fine finish inside the box benefiting from a Martha Tembo cross.

Lanky forward, Ochumba Oseke Lubanji rounded off the Phoenix goalkeeper Raouia Belafquih to slot home the third goal for the Copper Queens in the 39th minute.

Chitundu completed her brace a minute to half time after slotting home a rebound from close range after Noria Sosala’s goal bound shot was blocked. Misozi Zulu made it 5-0 in the 66th minute before skipper Barbra Banda could come from the bench to seal the win in the 79th minute.
