Africa-Press – Zambia. Inspector General of Police, Lemmy Kajoba, has warned of legal action against individuals with a tendency of abusing social media platforms. Kajoba has noted that some criminally minded people have continued abusing social media by posting insulting and abusive language as well as defamatory remarks directed at innocent people.
He has reminded the public that the use of electronic communication with the intent to coerce, intimidate, harass, or cause emotional distress to a person is in breach of Section 69 of the Cyber Security and Cyber Crimes law of 2021.
