Africa-Press – Zambia. The government has dismissed, as untrue and unfounded, a story circulating on social media platforms that President Hakainde Hichilema has sent the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Lillian Siyuni on forced leave.
Chief Government Spokesperson Chushi Kasanda said that the New Dawn is a Government of laws that conducts governance issues in an orderly and procedural manner.
Mrs. Kasanda said that the constitution provides the procedure for removal from office of the DPP. She says Members of the public are, therefore, urged to ignore the story as it is false.
Mrs Kasanda has urged those posting such falsehoods to read the provisions of the Constitution before concocting such falsehoods. She has reminded people in the habit of posting falsehoods on social media that it is a crime that is punishable by law.

This is a Government of laws which conducts governance issues in an orderly and procedural manner. The Republican Constitution provides procedure for removal from office of the DPP. Members of the public are, therefore, urged to ignore the story as it is false.
