EEP President Chilufya Tayali Commends Cabinet Office For Being Inclusive

Africa-Press – Zambia. Economic and Equity Party (EEP) Leader, Chilufya Tayali is elated by Cabinet’s inclusiveness in this year’s independence celebrations. Zambia celebrates her 57th independence Anniversary tomorrow, Sunday, 24th October, 2021 under the theme “Celebrating a New Dawn anchored on good Governance, National Unity and Development”.

According to Mr. Tayali in an interview with Dynamic Analysis Zambia Media and News agency, Cabinet under the New Dawn Administration, has risen above partisan politics, and invited everyone regardless of their partisan affiliation. The outspoken EEP Leader added that his party is happy with the manner Government has embraced all credible and bonafide political parties.

Mr. Tayali stressed that the UPND Alliance Government has endeavoured to depoliticize the sancrosanct national event by ensuring that not only political parties that support them are invited but also those critical of the administration.

“Cabinet office is unbiased this time around, they have invited all political parties including those that castigates the rulling party” Mr. Tayali has said.

And Mr. Tayali said cabinet office was not inclusive in inviting political parties during the PF led Administration, affirming that they were only considering PF surrogates.

“PF had the audacity to recognize Raphael Nakacinda faction leaving out the legitimate MMD led by Dr. Nevers Mumba. Even Saboi was being entertained under PF because of Chishimba Kambwili who is now a member of the former ruling party” Mr. Tayali said.

The EEP leader was reacting to Cabinet Office ‘s to withdraw Harry Kalaba and Saboi Imboela’s invitations to the National Honours and Awards Investiture Ceremony of the 57th Independence celebration to be held tomorrow 24th October, 2021 at State House.
