Africa-Press – Zambia. Chipolopolo forward Fashion Sakala will be participating in the 2022/2023 UEFA Champions League group stage following his team’s qualification. The Scottish giants qualified for the group stage after beating PSV Eindhoven of Netherlands 1-0 on Wednesday night and 3-2 on aggregate.
Sakala was a late second half substitute in Wednesday’s match at the Philips Stadion. After a 2-2 draw at Ibrox in last Tuesday’s first leg, Antonio Colak’s goal on the hour mark was the difference between the two sides to see Rangers through to the competition.
This will be the first time Rangers will be playing in the Champions League group stage since 2010. The 2022/23 UEFA Champions League group stage draw will take place in Istanbul, Türkey, this evening.
