Africa-Press – Zambia. NATIONAL Democratic CONGRESS (NDC) leader Saboi Imboela – SI was attacked and insulted yesterday 13th February, 2024 at around 13hrs by UPND CADRES together with NDC Media Director Mambwe Zimba and Lusaka Provincial Chairman Simon Mulenga after meeting the press at Backpackers restaurant in Lusaka.
The NDC media director was beaten by the UPND CADRES and sustained injuries. Further, the carders claimed that the NDC leader was not permitted to give any interview or engage in any activity at the UPND Secretariat. This was despite the team not being at the UPND Secretariat.
Ms.Imboela reported the said CADRES to Lusaka Central Police yesterday at around 14hrs while Mr. Mambwe has since been issued with a medical report after undergoing medical examinations.
The UPND CADRES were infuriated with Ms Imboela that she was talking to the media and they claimed that they were suffering as UPND CADRES despite having worked very hard for the ruling party.
Shockingly, the UPND cadres continued to allege that they suffered for the party and that they were not happy with the state of things in Zambia, hence attacking her and her team in the presence of a News Diggers reporter.
