Former Education Minister Dr. Michael Kaingu says Polygamy must be upheld by Zambian men. Dr. Kaingu stressed that it was unreasonable for people to debate about polygamy because it is a non issue.
He says based on his personal experience, wives submit more when there is another woman to give her competition. Dr. Kaingu however says he does not agree that women must have more than one husband because he does not understand how that can work.
The former Mwandi Constituency Lawmaker says suggestion by a Female Lawmaker that ‘Women must have more than one man” are so immoral and must never be entertained.
“First and foremost who has issues with a man having two wives? I have been happily married to more than one wife and we are all happy. They all submit and we suceed together. I can tell you that having more than one woman is the nicest thing in the world. You will never stress because the other woman will come to your aid. By doing so, things move smoothly ” he said.
And Dr. Kaungu says he does not understand the logic behind a woman demanding that she can marry more than one husband. “I have never heard of such a thing. A woman with more than 1 husband?
