Africa-Press – Zambia. President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA has assured the Church of freedom of worship without interference.
President HICHILEMA says the freedom of worship is a constitutional right, and no one has the authority to interfere in church gatherings.
He stressed that any misunderstandings should be resolved through dialogue.
The President was speaking when he officiated at the United Church of Zambia –UCZ- Diamond Jubilee celebrations in Kabwe District.
President HICHILEMA also acknowledged the complementary role played by the UCZ in the health and education sectors, through schools and hospitals run by the Church.
He said any contributions made to the Church are not favours, but investments in evangelism and God’s work, as the Church depends on its members to continue its mission.
