Africa-Press – Zambia. My previous post, where I shared the question from the popular Zambian gospel song ” MULILONSHI MULEPITAMO?” reveals that as a Nation, we are currently going through a lot of challenges both at national and personal level. Reading through each and every comment confirmed that times are hard and everybody is gripped with feelings of uncertainty and anxiety. I also notice that some of us have fallen prey to the temptation of blame shifting and finger pointing instead of asking the critical question, What must we do?
Every national crisis we face presents an opportunity for both the government and the Zambian people to innovate and overcome. This should be our attitude if we are to build our nation and make it an envy to the world.
There is nothing the twenty million of us can fail to achieve if we all put our hearts to it. Whether it is Energy sufficiency, Food security, Unity, Peace or Economic Prosperity.
Remember that President Hakainde Hichilema did not create the energy crisis, nor the Debt Crisis or the many other problems related to the economic Crisis. He is trying to resolve these. Neither did he make himself President at all, but the All-knowing God has allowed him to preside over the affairs of this Nation, at a time such as this.
Everybody in the country from the farmer, driver, teacher, doctor, marketeer feels the pain and the pressure of having to go through this, and there is not a single one of us who is not rooting for Zambia to succeed, with The Republican President himself being the Chief Protagonist.
But we can only achieve this, and more, if we decide to believe in ourselves and if we choose to unite for positive change. Together, we can resolve our challenges.
