Africa-Press – Zambia. FOOTBALL Association of Zambia (FAZ) registrar Iva Lengwe has been appointed as general secretary for administrative convenience, after Adrian Kashala was reinstated into the police service.

FAZ revealed that general secretary Adrian Kashala will no longer be overlooking nation’s football affairs but will be donning the police uniform following his reinstatement into the service.

FAZ president Andrew Kamanga announced the development through a statement today that Kashala has been appointed as senior assistant commissioner of police and deputy commanding officer for the paramilitary battalion unit.

Kamanga expressed gratitude for Kashala’s work with the association from the time he was deputy secretary general, till he was elevated in September 2018.

“On behalf of the FAZ executive, I wish to thank Mr Kashala for his selfless service to the game.”

“We will, however, be open to utilising his experience in various areas of our game as he is an asset,” said Kamanga.
