Africa-Press – Zambia. Former PF Deputy Secretary General, Mumbi Phiri has been formerly arrested and charged for murder. She has been jointly charged together with her co-accused, Shebby Chilekwa the former President Edgar Lungu’s barber.
The duo have appeared before Kaoma Magistrate, Bestin Hamaseke. They are accused of the murder of a UPND supporter, Lawrence Banda who was shot during the council Chairperson by-election in Kaoma in 2019. The matter has since been adjourned to 10th March 2022 for mention. The two suspects remain in custody.
