Africa-Press – Zambia. THE recent search of former Mines minister, Richard Musukwa, is uncalled for and an indication that the current government is hell bent on annihilating the opposition, PF Chairperson for Publicity Raphael Nakacinda, has said.
The Anti- Corruption Commission (ACC) reportedly raided Mr Musukwa’s residence but did not find anything, making him the latest senior member of the party to be targeted.
But Mr Nakacinda said the behaviour of the investigative wings was sad as they were trying to humiliate PF members by creating a narrative that they were thieves who looted government resources when in fact not.
“They are trying to victimize senior members of the PF and that there are a number of them that have been subjected to such,” he said.
He said the whole scenario was stage managed and coordinated propaganda and had no substance. Mr Nakacinda encouraged Mr Musukwa to be strong as the party would rally behind their compatriot.
Meanwhile, ACC Spokesperson Queen Chibwe when contacted said that she could not give any details because the commission had a long list of investigations that they were pursuing.
“The only comment I can give is that we have a number of cases being investigated by our team,” she said. -Daily Nation
