Africa-Press – Zambia. Zambia Women’s national team head coach Bruce Mwape has made changes to seven changes to the team that drew 1-1 with Morocco. Mwape has only kept Mary Wilombe, Martha Tembo, Agness Musesa and Misozi Zulu from the team that started against the Atlas Lionesses of Morocco.

Leticia Lungu has been drafted to start between the sticks replacing Hazel Nali. Esther Siamfuko, and Esther Banda replace Margaret Belemu and Lushomo Mweemba in defense.

Maweta Chilenga takes up Evarine Susan Katongo’s place in midfield as Avell Chitundu and Ochumba Oseke Lubanji start in attack with Grace Chanda and Natasha Nanyangwe dropping to the bench.

Skipper Barbra Banda starts on the bench. Kick off for the match at the Marrakech Grande Stade Annex I is set at 19:00hrs central African time. The Copper Queens are using the match as part of their preparation for the 2022 Morocco Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

The Copper Queens start their campaign against Cameroon at the Mohammed V stadium on July 3 before facing North Africans Tunisia three days later. They will wrap up their Group B engagement with a tie against debutants Togo on 9 July.

The top four finishers in Morocco will qualify directly for the World Cup to be jointly hosted by Australia and New Zealand in 2023, while two additional teams will progress to the intercontinental play-offs.
