Africa-Press – Zambia. Zambia Women’s National Team head coach Bruce Mwape has named his final squad for the two International friendly matches against Colombia. Mwape has named a mixture of foreign based players and locally based players for the Cali assignment.
Grace Chanda, Hazel Nali, Margaret Belemu, Rachel Nachula and Rachel Kundananji lead the squad that will travel to Colombia this evening. The team will depart for Cali this evening at 21:00hrs from the Kenneth Kaunda International Airport.
Foreign-based players will join directly in Cali where both Zambia and Colombia will be using the FIFA A Grade matches to prepare for the FIFA Women’s World Cup to be co-hosted by Australia/New Zealand in July 2023.
The Copper Queens and the Power Puff Girls will face off in two international friendly matches on November 12 and 15 in Cali. The Copper Queens are in Group C alongside Spain, Japan and Costa Rica while Colombia will face Germany, Morocco and South Korea in Group H at the ninth edition of the FIFA Women’s World Cup.
